Preserving Live Flowers

A person might wonder how to preserve live flowers in order to maximize their beauty for a longer period of time. Well, this can be achieved with the right products.

First, when flowers are brought home, cut the end an inch up in a slanted line in order for them to be able to absorb the fresh water. Also, add flower food to the lukewarm water. When the flowers have sat for a couple of days, they will need fresh water and food.

Do not wait until the flowers do not have any water left. At this point, they will start wilting and dying. While live flowers cannot be preserved forever, they will live on in a dried flower bouquet.

To dry, take out of the water and tie a string around the end. Then hang them upside down so that they do not droop as they dry. Gravity will keep them straight.
